About us
Our story began in 2002, when Italspawn from Italy opened a compost factory.
Looking for a long-term favourable location, availability and proximity of high-quality raw materials, it made a strategic decision when choosing the company site. In that search, a place with a specific name stood out – Pločica. This marked the beginning of Champicomp.
We did not become leaders overnight. We knew that the product quality had to be unsurpassed on the market at that time. That business mission has remained the same to this day.
The general public recognised the effort we put in and in 2014 we received the “Captain Miša Anastasijević” award.
Johan Vogelzangs, the world-renowned technologist, enriched our team. With the leading European expert and his decades of experience, we confirmed our leadership position and made further technological strides.
In 2018, the company got a domestic owner.
In 2019, we doubled our production resources and raised our business to a higher level. We opened 6 new tunnels and 2 bunkers. We are particularly proud of the phase III compost production, which has seen an increase in demand with visible customer satisfaction.
We started the construction of a solar power plant that will supply our factory with electricity. We expanded compost production capacities by constructing two new tunnels. In the coming period, we are planning to use renewable energy sources to a larger extent.
